Don't know the name, but I see them all the time. A BB gun should solve your problem.

Some type of Orb Weaver. They are awesome to watch while the build thier webs, takes them between 1-4 hours to get one of those things completed.
They catch, kill, and store bugs for later. So when they get one in the web the just kill it and hide it away and wait for another. So they constantly take down the bug population on a property. Not just when they are hungry. |

Kill it now! WD-40 and a cigarette lighter works wonders for eradicating these bastards.
If you wait too long, these things can grow to the size of a Volkswagen Beetle and simple bugs no longer satisfy their appetite... guess who's next on the menu? |

Orb. Beneficial. Relocate him if you are worried about getting bit (harnless but a lil pinch) I relocate spiders all the time around my house. Good pest control.

Plastic mayo jars work well for relocation. Large opening and clear plastic lets you know where it is in the jar before you open the top.
