Your eyes soon ignore the purple dots and merely focus on the one that has disappeared. The afterimage in your eye of the purple dot appears green. |

The "dot" looks green because green is the opposite of pink, and when each pink dot disappears you are left with the residual image in your eye, which is green. At least that's my theory. I noticed that when I looked away the residual image of the circle of dots was green.

Theres really two illusions.
1. The blinking green dots really isnt green....its the violet dot just blinking off and on. 2. If you stare at the black cross without blinking the dots will erase themselves. |

Now you done it!! I just had a flashback to 1967 and I cain't remember shit!! I stopped doing drugs so I didn't have to see shit like that.....but nooooooo....you post my hallucinations on ARFCOM!!
Now I look at the damn thing.....and I see little pink titties that turn into pictures of devils....and then the devils turn into puppies and snowflakes....then they just EXPLODE!! Then they turn into abacrombie and fitch logos.....then they turn into thorny shoehorns.....then into little charicatures of Timmothy Leary.....then they start singing about how "they flushed me from the toilets of their hearts".... GOD I'M SCARED!!! WHO TOOK THE PEANUT BUTTER!!?

If you set that image as your desktop background, it will appear but the dots will not "animate". It's a still image, and even then the pink dots will dissapear if you stare at the black cross. If you stare at it for a while after the dots dissapear and click on something, you will see a ghost image of GREEN dots on the new screen for a few seconds. Try it, it's kinda creepy!
