Grandma was a stone fox at sixteen!

OK...here are a couple of pics of varying ancient history...

My maternal grandmother in her late teens:

Her younger sister, also in her late teens.  She became a famous actress in the '30s and made movies and TV appearances for many years.  Her stage name was Ann Harding.  You can look her up on the Internet Movie Database.

Me, Miz LWilde (blond) and her sister...circa 1972.

Here is my mother.  She died when I was 14.

Here I am about to draw down on someone at the car wash........

Here is me at age 16.  I managed to get that Thompson bought for $900.
This was before the ban in 1985 of course.  It sat in my grandads name for a few years
since I wasn't old enough.  Transferred it to myself later, best $200 I ever spent
Took me the better part of a year to save up the cash.  My grandad felt sorry for me and
gave me the $200 to pay the tax.

Notice trigger discipline even at 16 years old......

My great-great grandfather Gerhard  aka "George".

Born sometime in the first half of the 1800's in Northwestern Germany.

Was exempt from military service due to a hump back.  Came to the U.S.A in the 1850's and sent his passport back to Germany twice so his brothers could use it to also come here.

Spent the civil war years in California looking for gold.  Naturalized in San Francisco in the 1860's.

Look out ladies!  This is my paternal Grandfather, quite the ladies man in his day!  I'm estimating the photo dates around 1910.

This one is ME!  Estimated date about 1949.

The well dressed guy in front of the door to his General Store is J.W. Roy, my Great-Great Grandfather, photo dated 1900.

My paternal Great Grandfather and my Great Grandmother, my Grandfather is the kid in the front, photo dated 1896 taken in Indian Territory.

Here goes
OK...first one is my dad and my mother's brother (my uncle) Jim on Uncle Jim's wedding day (mid 1950's). Yep, Dad was short (5'8") but Uncle Jim was 6'4".

This one is of my nana (mom's mom)
She had it pretty rough...born circa 1914, this photo was taken during WW1 in her yard in South Philly. Yah...they had grass back then

This last one is of my parents in 1953 on their wedding day. Twice this photo has appeared onstage in productions I was doing when I had to play a character that was married "back in the day of B/W photos." Mom loves that she's been "onstage"

I've got some great pictures of my grandfather standing next to his Army Air Corps trainer Steerman (Biplane) during WWII. I'll try and scan them in and post them up over the weekend.
