The GF and I are going camping in about two weeks with some friends and need to get a tent (my brother stole my last one and then moved to Idaho). We dont go camping that much and usually only a few times a year only in the summer, spring and fall. Would like to sleep minimum of 4 people but need to keep the cost under 200$.

We have a really great Survival Forum here.  Lots of folks with lots of experience with tents from Wal-Mart cheapies to high end Kelty's, MSR's, etc

A couple of chairs and a blanket, you're all set.

Seriously, rent  one  TWO of the good ones from your local outdoors store.  Not worth it to buy one unless you know what you want.

Oh, and your brother seriously sucks.

With lower priced tents you will also want to spend a touch of cash on a bottle of "seam Sealer"  to seal the floor and tent fly seams.  Otherwise you'll get water coming through the threads and seams.  It's a relatively quick job and worth the effort if you have a good day of rain.
