Trying to print out a document, but it prints with dots on the page. Can't see the dots in print preview, but they print out on the page every time. Driving me freakin' nuts! Any ideas?

sounds more like a printer issue than MS Word.  Patty

Try a different printer driver. If you use pcl drivers use ps or other way around.

I tried printing other documents and they are fine. It seems like I selected something in the tool bar and can't figure out what it is to turn it off. The dots aren't random, they are under words and extend to the end of sentences.

Are you using the right version of Word - like this one?

Sounds like one of the auto-grammar/spelling things where it highlights what it thinks is bad grammar, run on sentences, etc.

You should be able to turn it off...

Yea, I copied and pasted the document to a "New" page. You can't see them when highlighted, but it follows it. I'll just have to keep working with it. I was hoping someone would recognize the symptom.

Sorry Patty, but I do not see anything regarding format type.

copy and paste the entire document into Notepad (start -> accessories - >notepad)

then copy and paste it back into a brand new word document.

i do that all the time; fixes lots of stuff.
