I read in AP today that the democrat Paul Hackett was a know-it-all veteran of the Iraqi war. Apparently he didn't agree with anything that the President or other Command officials had done up to this time.

He called Bush a "chickenhawk", the handy all-purpose slur they use against anyone who supported getting rid of Saddam Hussein. Also called him a son of a bitch.
But since he wanted to win in a traditionally Republican district, he ran ads showing Bush in a positive light, just as Tom Dasshole did in his final election. |

I don't know, but I would like to look at the actual total numbers of votes, it could be pretty good size number, yeah 4% win is definitely win, no matter what. |

The man ran on being a veteran from Iraq, and specifically said he "lead Marines in combat." When in fact he a JAG officer with a civil affairs group. He may of lead Marines and he may have been in a combat zone, but leading Marines in combat would be a stretch. |

Hackett was 110% pro-gun. He also recieved one of the first CCW's issued in Ohio after the law passed. If not for the friendly incumbent policy, he may have gotten the NRA nod.
