BMI really doesn't apply once you start lifting weights.  It works as a good gauge for sedentary people, but a healthy male who is at normal BMI who lifts weights for a year or two can easily push themselves up to an abnormal BMI.

I'm 6' tall and 220, but I'm only about 12% BF.  Nobody would look at me and think I was obese.

I've always been "overweight" by any paper standard. Then again, I'm a football player and coach, so I don't take too much stock in "paper" standards.

5'11" 205lbs.

So do you wear those really cool shorts and a windbreaker everywhere?

The BMI scale is pretty much worthless. It really only benefits life insurance companies, helps pump up your premiums.

Like previously stated, it really only applies to sedentary types.

Tom Cruise is 201? Yeah and was taller than Nicole Kidman too.

He isn't 201 unless he's carrying 2 large bowling balls.

BMI doesn't apply unless you are a runner.

The "weight is bad" mindset, isn't backed up with solid research.

The problem is the US has a lot of sedentary, fat people,....................

Sedentary is more of a problem.
