Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Streaming media exerts help

I am trying to listen to the scanner link at www.hces.org and it will never go more than 10-15 seconds before buffering again, but I can listen to all kind sof other streaming sites on the same connection no problem.

My fiance works there and I would really like to be able to listen from over here.

Doing the same thing to me, play a bit...buffer...play a bit...buffer...

But I get no sound, is there nothing to hear untill someone calls in?

Yeah, its quiet 80% of the time.

If they have the scanner streaming on a low-bandwidth connection, it may just get dropped frequently.
