Heartwarming, yet hilarious. The kid's still on the ground, "did I git 'im?"
Awwwwww......
I wish McDonalds commercials were still that heartwarming. |
Someone needs to post this on the DU. The corresponding meltdown would be quite impressive.
"Oh my god, he's teaching that boy to KILL. This is all chimpy mcbushitler's fault. Karl Rove personally gave the kid a gun." |
Oh hell ya, and PLEASE post the link!!! |
That kid definitely has a pair. Only kid in Kindergarten who clangs when he walks... I think I was about 8 when I first fired a "big gun" (non-.22) and it was my Dad's '98 Mauser in .30-06. It was fun but I went back to the .22! Jim |

Love that video every time it gets posted.
Father really should buy him a "youth" shotgun though. |
Much cuter than watching those towelhead videos where they are shooting elephant guns and getting their ass kicked.
Rock on. |
lack of eye and hearing protection bothers me, hope he didnt have more than one shell in the shotgun either, swinging it around and pointing it all over the place.
Looked like that was a break action single barrel, = only one at a time. |
It was a single action. But the lack of eye and hearing protection for a child is disturbing. If he keeps that up he'll be the tuffest kid in his " special needs" program.
I never had hearing protection while dove hunting.
Shotguns aren't that loud and you kinda need to hear when someone across the field starts yelling about the birds. I will say being older and smarter now that eye protection is very important while dove hunting since you tend to get showered with shot every so often no matter how careful your fellow hunters are. Some of you guys have spent too much time on the range and not enough time shooting something other than paper. |
+100 This kid rocks. You know, I've seen grown men whine - and I mean WHINE - after shooting a shotgun. Made me sick to jst hear their bellyacheing. Look for the public schools to want this kid on drugs for reasons of "male aggressiveness." CMOS |
+1 ... tough kid |
Come to think of it I don't know anyone, or have even seen someone use eye or ear protection in the field. At the range...always. |
NO Shit ! edit for content (sorry bout the thread jacking) |

Not good advice. I shoot cases of shells in the field every year. With every shot, I have ear plugs. Perhaps you aren't aware of the baffle type ear plugs, but they allow you to hear voices quite well and give you good protection. There's really no excuse for not wearing hearing protection when shooting. I have two long time hunting friends that have noticable hearing loss because they didn't want to wear protection while hunting for the same reasons you quoted above. It's a real pain talking to them now, because they don't hear you unless they are looking directly at your face, like an old man. They're only 31. Silencio Super Sound Baffler Super Sound Baffler Internal baffle design allows normal conversation to be heard yet shuts out harmful noise levels Soft comfortable silicone rubber One size fits most people Yes they are uncomfortable the first few times you wear them, but they get easy to wear very fast. Your choice, slight pain for two hours or permanent hearing damage. bd |

What was the stupid part? I must have missed that. |
Don't worry TBK1, it's just and unsucceful DU mole. Mole probably thinks kids shouldn't be shooting guns or going hunting to begin with. |

Ah, thanks. He wasn't on my radar screen as a DUh'er. Thanks again. As an aside, he would just SHIT then if he saw my little niece shooting (age 7 now, but we started her at age 3). |

Somebody needs to post that picture of the one members cute daughter wearing a kalashnakity shirt and holding his AK.
There is a thread in Team right now with several pics (including my niece) titled something like "What age should I start my daughter shooting?" It's a nice thread with lots of information. |
Get that on DU and mothering.com lets watch the fun...............

Totally irresponsible. Reminds me of that video here of some one teaching his 6'ish y/o son how to bump fire a 9mm AR carbine without ear or eye protection. His defensewas something to be desired, "It has a supressor on it".
People like that give us RTKBA people a bad name and only allows C.S.'s to take your kids away. |
Flipping out over no eye(never use this and never will) or ear protection when it is just occasional exposure(hunting). I'm sure he doesn't target practice with that, and I'm sure they're not the target shooting type. They seem to be the types that take out the shotgun just when it's time to hunt.
Yeah, the kid needs something with a little less recoil. Reminds me of a neighbor who fired his 10-gauge laying down and hurt himself. The same guy also gave himself a black eye with a scope. High power can make for some pretty funny incidences. |
Cute...
I would have REALLY cute if he was shooting a Remington 1100, and he shot his dad in the chest a couple times, when he fell. I don't mean to be a jerk, but I was shooting at the same age, but with proper hearing protection, a smaller gun (a 410), my dad psysically supporting me, etc... |
He's a fucking little kid! At that age, you may or MAY NOT get back your lost hearing and if your eye get's damaged: Game over. I know some one who has been hunting and shooting as along as me (both of us started at 8), and he had surgury done on his ears just to repair the hearing loss for not having E&E protection. I've not lost any hearing over my 10 years. He talked like a totally deaf person and still has speech problems in effect from the hearing loss. |
