Anyone interested?

I could never really get into the old series. I like Darren McGavin but the show just never did it for me for some reason...

Not sure this one looks much more appealing...

Really? I loved the old one, used to watch it all the time in high school.
Granted, it's dated now, but I liked it then.

Remakes usually suck pretty bad though. I had no idea they were doing a remake.

I liked the first one but I didn't know that it was popular enough to even do a remake of.

One of those rare nights when I'm watching ABC... The Sixth Sense is on. I suppose it's a good "supernatural" vehicle to push The "new" Night Stalker. I never hear anything about it until tonight.

Oh, the original was one of my favorites as a kid.  Looked forward to it every week.

Darren McGavin was the man.

Will probably watch the new one once to see if it's worth wasting time on.

The original was good spooky fun at night when I was little. I really liked the one with the head-less motorcycle guy with a sword. It was the hokiest special effects ever. The best part of it was that the victims all heard the motorcycle from two blocks away and stood there to be decapitated.

Campy as hell, but good spooky fun...

Never watched it growing up or even heard of it , the only thing I'd ever seen McGavin in was A Christmas Story

About 10 years ago when I worked midnites a guy I worked with had the whole series on Tape or DVD
He'd bring them in and we'd watch 'em in the wee hours

I loved that show.

Stuart Townsend seems kind of young for Kolchak.

I absolutely loved the original! I would seriously consider buying the season's DVD's if available. A bit campy and hokie at times, but a good show just the same.

I had no idea a remake was coming out. I don't hold much hope for it though. Remakes tend to suck.

It was one of my favorites when I was a kid.  The end of each episode was almost like Maxwell Smart's, "Missed me by that much."  He almost bought it so many times.

More remakes from an industry that has lost its sense of creativity? Wonder how they will work sex & profanity into it?

I like the old series.  Heck, as long as they put Gabrielle Union in a bikini every episode for the new series, I'll watch it even if it's complete crap.

I used to watch the old show when I was a kid in the 70s. Cool show.

I'll take a remake of an old show over another reality show any day of the week. Even if I have no intention of watching either the continuous stream of reality shows sickens me to know end.

Yep... we need more "reality" like this. I don't know about you but Tommy Lee Going to College is about as close to reality as you can find on TV... mmmm hmmmm.... Sometimes I seriously consider putting a few rounds into my television and ending the madness.
