I found this guy in my tub this morning.

I wonder if it's just covered with dirt from crawling up the drain or something.

I couldn't tell if it was just covered in dirt of if that stuff was part of the bug.

It isn't a dust mite, but rather a Hemipteran or True Bug. It appears to be a Masked Hunter, Reduvius personatus which according to Borror and DeLong in An Introduction to the Study of Insects, is a brownish black bug that is often found in houses; it feeds on bed bugs but will also bite man. It has a habit of accumulating lint on its head, and thus becomes masked."

I wonder what the hell food source is living in the walls.

it seems like everything I catch in this place is some kind of predator that feeds on other bugs.

It's not full. There's only about 8 bugs in it. I only put in ones that I can catch alive without mangling them up. The plan was to get a good spread then take some pics of them to post here. ha ha ha.

I have been meaning to get pics of these huge bee looking things that swarm around the walkway outside. They appear to dig and then nest in the ground....they look like bees (black and yellow striped body) but they are huge....at least 1 - 1 1/2 inches long.....they are very docile and dont attack, I can walk through a swarm of 20 and they take zero interest in me at all.

I have been trying to figure out what these things are for a year now.

Besides the Masked Hunter,
I tend to get all the above in My house too.

Rolly pollies, Beatles, Earwigs, Spiders and milipedes I can deal with and usually let them be.

Those friggin' house centipedes You posted totally creep me out!
They get from 2-3 inches at My place and move FAST.

Whenver I see 'Em, out comes the SOG Tanto folder, I give it a running start
than I slice the bastard in half while he's in mid-stride.

I thoroughly enjoy watching those things die painfully.

Man I hate these damn centipedes.

I just caught another one and it was also on the wall right above the headboard of my damn bed.
Friken bastard:

I know they're supposed to be a beneficial creature in that they hunt down and kill other pest bugs, but damn, I'd rather have a few silverfish than these damn things streaking across the bedroom wall at light speed.

And wtf do they stay in the bedroom. I'd be fine with them in the living room or kitchen and may even let them live there, but the bedroom ... mother fuckers.

Do you think a bug bomb would take these guys out?

Do those bug bombs leave a residue on surfaces?
