concensus is a home equity loan now- probaily will do- for those of you that wondered- bio-diesel is the wave of the future- it gonna catch on- or i could just be dead wrong and am gonna loose my ass- will keep you updated |

Buy a shitload of scratch-off lotto tickets. ...Or, do something smart and try to find some investors. Stockholders/investers are much more likely to commit to a project when the person proposing it is contributing too. You'd have a good chance. |

Bio diesel is no where. Still way too expensive to produce and not cost effective. The consumer cost is too high and availability is too limited. Your only hope is to contract with local carriers that are willing to do the paperwork to get the tax break. Some yuppies will try it, but not enough to justify that kind of investment. Try a federal grant. Or a federal, interest free loan. Alternative energy is getting a lot of support from the gov. Oh yeah, the exhaust doesn't smell like french fries.........It smells like soy sauce....... |

Yes, the cost of virgin vegetable oil (never used in cooking) is going to eat into any perceived profits. In bulk, it still costs more than commercial diesel.
Using waste oil is a process nightmare because of variability. The best would be waste from a commercial plant but they SELL their waste to cosmetics/chemical plants. Unless commercial diesel gets to $5 a gallon, the best is break even selling at $3 a gallon. For road use, tax must be paid before it goes into commercial distribution. |

you can get an easy 25 G from the small business administration with nothing down and unsecured.
i did it months ago when i bought my veterinary reference laboratory. pay-off is under $500 a month. but my family holds jobs in the oil/natural gas markets and unless the feds step and subsidize bioDzl its going nowhere. it would cost $3-4 to produce DZL that will sell at $1.98 a gallon. now if the GOVT steps in and gives bioDzl a boost..financially...then yes down the line it could be venturous and profitable. |
