Damn, is the finish of the Tour de France always so crowded, or is just the last leg real short compared to the rest?

raven! yo, dude!
yeah, the tour is THE most watched sporting event (live, i think world cup soccor outdraws it on tv)...always hundreds of thousands along each day's route. today was a "short" one...ONLY 131 miles, i think! ny, the crashes came yesterday. the united states postal service squad stacked it up big time in the rain, during the team time trial (44 miles). they still salvaged a 4th among the 21 teams entered. i love the way the french announcer gets wound up calling the finish! you've got to hear a spanish speaking commentator call the sprint...not even a chain gun runs THAT fast! lol! |

CAMPYBOB, i think Tour de France is the third watched sports event, right after the Olympics and the World Championships in soccer.
