OK, as to the "which rifle is best" type of thread, I feel I must ask just one more question.
IF... you were to find yourself away from your weapons in a SHTF scenario, ie. at work, vacation or just away !!! and in the midst of all the chaos, you stumble into a building, and sitting on a large table are a bunch of rifles, and plenty of ammo for each.
There are several versions of the AR (M4orgery, 20"A2, and a couple others)ALL BUSHMASTERS [:D]
There is a AK-47, a AK-74
There is a M1A
There is a HK-91, a HK-93, a MP-5
There is a FAL
There is a (insert your favorite here)
SOOOOOOO, You have your choice here, HMMMMMM, which to choose.....
remember, these are all semi auto's that would be available to us subjects under current law.
BTW, also plenty of mags for each.

I also am aware that this little arsenal sounds like what some of you may have in your safes !!!!

Steyr AUG.  When I picked up that weapon it fused with my skin and became an extension to my arm.  I could probably shoot very well with one of those rifles.  BTW it would have to be full-auto.

For civillians who are limited to semi-auto, there is no reason to choose the balistically inferior ".22's" which were adopted solely due to thier controlability in Full-Auto.

I only need to carry it as far as I need to to hide.  Then when it's all over I'd sell it and buy an M1A, FAL, AR-10, AR-15. [:)]

I'll take the HK 91 and the MP5 as my backup gun and sell the rest in the AR15.com for sale forum.

I'd get one of them new Mall Ninja pistols chambered in 9mm +P+P+P+P+P+P+P+P+ CrazyBastardMagnumButtStomper.



But honestly, I'd go with the AR15/M16 series.   It's what I know best and the ability to reload the rifle or aim the rifle feels nearly instinctual to me.


AUGS?  I found that I just can't get used to the AUGs, I thought maybe they'd be to my liking but I can't get used to the "deoderant" type magazine changes where I'm blindly stuffing it into my armpit and the "donut of death" scope reticle bothered me as well, I thought the ergonomics of the AUG would suit me but I found that I like the AR15 more.



More power?   Either an AR10 type rifle or an HK91 type rifle, I can't own an HK91 here in Ca. though so I went and managed to scare up an AR10 before the recent ban went into effect.
