I am looking at starting a carbon fiber stock set for the following.  I am trying to get the peoples opinion on what they would like to see and make it full carbon fiber.  The advantages to this would be something very lightweight, very durable, and something cutting edge.  I can even go with a kevlar weave if wanted.  I know this is not everyone taste but I think there is a market for this in the gun industry.  Please help with your ideas and comments!

TIA

Does CF come in a non-reflective finish?

I would think an AR15 or a 10/22 stock set would be your best bet.

There are a lot more AR's and 10/22's out there then Fals and M1A's

10/22

Give it a pistol grip if possible.

Browning A-Bolt Short action!  The damn thing would be 4 pounds... recoil may be stiff... but hell it would pack good.

It can come 2 ways!  So the answer is yes

Is a picture available of a rifle stock with the non-reflective finish?

I have not made them yet,  that is why I am asking you all to see if you would want something like this. The flat finish would look like the PRI rail system.

Flat finish = Very good.

Typical CF Ultra Bright Reflective Here I Am Making The Sun Shine In your Eyes Finish = Very Bad. (And maybe for some of us fatal.)

I think I would offer it both ways.  There are some out there that will never use them as a war gun and would like a flashy finish.  Others would want it flat!

Also CF will give a lower IR image than the standard hardware.

would a kevlar weave in the product  interest anyone?

Depending on the price I'd be intrested in a CF FAL set...

AR-15, and even an AK if it ever became available.

ETA: Middy handgaurds are a neccessity.

I would buy an AR-15 set and  10/22 stock if you could price them affordably.

yes that would interest me, but only in the 10/22 stock. I don't mind that rifle with a little bling. My AR is all business though.

Your best bet is an AR15 collapsible stock in the original Fiberlite style.

It would offer the lightest weight possible for those interested in lightweight builds.

Many advanced AR15 users have railed aluminum FreeFloat tubes and would have no use for the forend parts.

Alternatively, a carbon fiber clone of the Crane collapsible stock would be nice, but I don't know if that is patent protected or not.

Speaking for myself, I'd like a collapsible of either style, and I'd also be very interested in a lightweight carbon fiber pistol grip for the AR15. Matte finish.

Arnt you the one doing the CF barrels, or selling them at least?

If you build it, they will come.....

Being the impatient bastage that I am, I decided to try the hydro-graphic finish.

If you can build something like that, I don't think that you'll have any problem selling them.

there is already carbon fiber hanguards and tube stocks for ar-15s.  I would like to see one for 10/22, you cold make a super light rifle, and there are a lot of 10/22 owners.
