I bet they slip some hollowpoints in their mags when the officers arent looking. Heck, maybe the officers tell them to use ballistic tips ? I remember an article in the last few months, the "Village Whine" or some such 'net rag, stating that the effects of the 5.56 of the Israelis were devastating to the Palestinians, and difficult to heal and treat when they wounded, because of the cavity(ies) caused by the fragmentation. I havre to say, I think I read it from a slightly different standpoint than the bleeding heart that wrote it intended![:D] I have no idea where it was, but I recall, more than one news org. briefly covered this phenomena during the intense rock throwing period the Israelis were under a while back. What's with the white gloves, and blue T-shirts? Somebody should dress these guys better. Or maybe it for tactical reasons. They can toss their helmet, strip off their flak vest...Poof! Instant civilian.[:D]

While this picture of the CAR shows no steel dart launcher, it is common to see the launchers on many IDF CAR's it looks like a very long flash suppressor, but launches a cluster of steel darts, that insurted into the device, that is launched by a blank, that always go right through the human target, yes even the bone! This device is also used to launch gas, and other items!

Israeli's Invade CAV Arms.
By Shilock Goldstien Today, elite commando's from the Israeli Schnook Yadda Shalom division of the Israel Defense Force invaded American rifle maker Cavalry Arms of Arizona. The battle was fierce, with GarryOwen and TopCrest engaging the invaders with CAV-15's, and SinistralRifleman pulling rear guard with a Glock 21.. But in the end, the jews were too much, over-running the defenders, and claiming victory for Israel. Andreusan, that device is for launching blanks only. No darts there :)
The [url]www.isayeret.com[/url] is truly an great site about the IDF and it´s various units. Seems that the weapon in the picture is the Colt M653, shipped in large numbers to Israel. |
