Guess I will start this post....I hate all of you....hatehatehate....because of all of you I now HAVE TO go buy a AR10, FAL, Full auto AK, Full Auto MAC, Full auto M-16. It is all your fault.....hehehe....We had a Great turn out. I think everyone had a great time, I know I did.
I got another small bruise again from the tromix (50ae), anyone else get one? here is a small list of the first words uttered after shooting it. 1. Wow 2. ow (short for ouch) 3. oh Sh$t 4. Holy Sh$t 5. D$m There where a few other respones. But everyone was smilling afterwards. I think everyone enjoyed shooting it. I know I did. So lets get everyones opinion on a recoil comparison. I thought is was more then the AR10 or FAL. It was not bad with the "past" shoulder pad, but unfortunatly I kept forgetting to use the pad...doh! Love my Tromix!!! I had brought 4 steel plates and 3 angle iron frames to use. Unfortunatly one frame is now in the big gun range in the sky, may it rest in piece. the steel target plates were quite abused, but survived, They will be good for another shoot. Will have to get some pics of them though, they took a pounding. One of the things I personaly enjoyed shooting with the tromix were the 24oz bottles filled with cherry jello. I will bring alot more of these jello filled bottles next time, they were great. The big jugs of water were fun. But the jello just left a nice splatter. I want a AR10 even more now then before....Troy I hold you personaly responsible for this. The FAL was not far behind. OH, I cant remember who brought the stapler, but I have it, let me know and we will get together so I can give it back. M1a-a1, send me an Email and we will workout the deal for the 400 rounds of 308 ammo. L2S....50ae |

I'm totally bummed out right now.
I set my alarm clock for 6:00am, so I could be on the road by 7:00am, but I guess I slept through it completely. I woke up at 3:30 PM!!!!!!!! with about 8 messages on my phone from people wondering where the heck I'm at. I blew it this time. What a loser...[:(] I stayed up too late preparing for the shoot, I guess. I'm still all packed and ready to go. |

Yes, It was very good time.
I would like to thank M1A-A1 for his effort to organize breakfast and finding the location to shoot at. I love2shoot, that would be my staplegun, didn't remember it until after I was home for a while, oh well. Whenever you have time. Luckily the .50AE didn't bruise me, but I didn't fire nearly as much as you did, that was alot of fun to shoot, as was the M4 carbine! Hopefully the next time we get together, I'll have moved ARlady out here and she can join the fun. Well, I need to finish cleaning the guns, the downside to shooting. |
|
damn i knew i was gonan miss something cool oh well damn cast we need another one this time in southern AZ
|
|
Well, the drive up was well worth it !!! what a great time !!!
Thanks to Gary for bringing the Cavs to try, to luvtoshoot for the Tromix(way cool) the armory for the F.A. m16 and AK and to M1A-A1 for putting it together. Highlights for me were shooting the full auto's and seeing the look on Troys face after he shot em !!!!!! Oh yea, got to meet nsf jojo and witness him learn the bump fire !!!!(now he can take out the elderly in the malls much quicker) great to meet all of you and cant wait to do it again !!! Butkus 51 out... [x] |
|
We need to have another so I can work on my bump fire with my AK. As far as the look troy had after firing the FAs...it was the same look everyone had...hehe...hey butkus, was that your FAL I fired? I liked it. And thanks M1A-A1..you got mail.

I didn't get to the shoot, but did any of y'all make out at the gun show? I hung with slave1 most of the time and wandered into a couple of you guys, but your hands were mysteriously empty.
I wound up with an AR17 shotgun. Now that's kinda a rare bird. Picked up a pair of AR18 mags and 1K of British 7.62. "Not For Tropical Use?" Guess I'll have to wait till December to shoot it! I also had my eye on one of those High Powers over at Arizona Response Systems, but it was a bit too spendy for my wallet this time. Those things sure looked sweet though . . . Hey it was nice meeting a few of you AZ people at the Saturday breakfast and the show at least. We'll have to do this evil stuff again, maybe around the early December Crossroads show in conjunction with the Small Arms Review show. |
|
It was nice to Finally put a face to some of these "AZ" names and a couple "CA" also. The first thing I told my wife when I got home was the fact that out of all the different groups/types of people I have been around I would have to say us "Gun People" are the greatest![:D] Everyone I met was friendly and willing to share their toys! I had a great Time! I got to fire ILove2Shoot's Tromix .50ae it was awesome and I've got the bruise to prove it!
Also, I got to fire a full auto AK thanks to www.azarmory.com. Thanks again! I Also got to fire one of Garyowens CAV-15's and I think a buddy of mine wants to get one now as well as myself! Only down side to the whole day for me was I running late this morning and never put any sun screen on and got a nice sun burn on my head and arms! ouch...But it was worth it! Troy should be putting up some pics soon. Can't wait to see that group picture it should be impressive! I'm looking forward now to the next AZ shoot! This one was a blast! Literally! John |

When was it.
Where was it. How can we find out the next one. Is someone sending e-mail to all, is it posted somewhere in advance so we can read or is this a closed circle. Please respond. |

What a blast. I'm back in Reno now, very tired and off to work. You AZ guys are a whole group of great guys. I'd type more but I gotta go.

Man you guys just have way too much fun over there. I think I need to concentrate on getting a job in Phoenix.

hey Chaireborne.....I did quite well at the gun show. I was able to trade my Glock 17 (w/ no high caps) for a Norinco NHM-90 (mags included 3 30s, 3 10s, and 1 20rnd). I had $360 into the glock. Thanks beagle747 for helping me work this trade. I also sold my PreBan Mini-30. The best part is I got $500 for it!!!! I picked up about 100 rnds of 50ae then had to leave so I would have enough money left to finish paying the credit card from when I recently got my Aimpoint.

Just wondering when some pics are gonna find their way on.
OK, so when is the next one !!! [:D] |

Great shoot.
Good time with good folks. ILove2Shoot’s .50AE Tromix is a blast. Thanks Doug. The standard buttplate of an AR is DEFINITELY not the best way to interact with that sucker. My thanks as well to – M1A1 - for finding the place and letting me shoot his M1A with the folding stock, and letting me shoot his LEGP Troy – for starting the thread (he took pictures) NSFJoJo – for having such a good sense of humor Gerryowen and the great folks from Cavalry Arms – NEAT toys AZ Armory – I finally got to shoot an M4 And everyone else. Ps: ILove2Shoot I think that was my FAL. |

I believe you and Slave1 were the only no shows and I'm sorry ya guy's missed it...However we will be doing this again. View Quote He man I was there damnit! I had the big ugly Ford truck and non-functioning M-16. It was a great shoot and next time the ol'16 will be working. [:)] |
|
Thats right maddock, it was yours, if you ever need to store it somewhere, let me know...hint hint hint. Got names mixed up. At least slaves M-16 worked for the 2 mags I put through it :), slave next time bring the mac back and i will bring a few boxes of ammo. How did I miss out on firing the LEGP...dam, To many toys (not) not enough time.
For those that did not realize there was a shoot, check the Meetings and events board every couple weeks. We will get another togethere before to long. Maybe treetop can wake up for the next one....hehe |

Damn, old age is killing me.[xx(] But hey! I remember your truck...[:D] |

Yeah that LEGP was nice! You better bring lots of ammo for that M-11/9 it likes to eat, by the way that's my daily carry gun [:)]. So when are we doing this again? By the way I think it was M1A1 who came up with the place to shoot, that was a great spot. Now I want a full auto AK, that thing was sweet!
|
|
Yeah that AK was sweet!
TROY! Where are those pics you took???? [:)] |

Quoted: WHAT?!? No pics?????????? View Quote I just dropped of the film (you know, that old, low-tech stuff that needs to be developed?). I have yet to divert enough ammo money into purchasing a digital camera. And let's not talk about the $326.48 that the new radiator cost so I could get home... [:|] I had a great time at the shoot, and I hope to do it again. I'll have the pics up tomorrow. [:D] -Troy |

I see how it is, I let everyone shoot the supressed stuff and noone even mentions it. My feelings are hurt now.
Im taking my toys and going home, well I am home, nevermind. |

The new 9-upper was sweet! I got to get Shane(The Armory) to make me one....
|

Yea i Missed out on the suppressed stuff also. Oh well...next time hopefully.

OK, so I asked for a PhotoCD, and now the pics are gonna take 5 days to come back.
I know, I suck. -Troy |
|
OH Troy,
Now we are going to be so heart broken. What am I going to do? I am beside myself with anguish. The only way you can make it up is to sneak my name into the drawing for the LEGP 4 more times...hehe. |
|

Glad to see you're alive... But don't worry about OUR impatience to see the Pic's of the shoot... We will BTT as long as it takes [0:)] |
|
Troy,
Don't worry about it taking time. I'd be more afraid of the photo shop turning you into the police for taking a picture of people with guns!!!!! [:o] Ilove2shoot, let me know the next time you head to Ben Avery or something. We could meet up there to to get my stapler back, but it is not a big deal at all, so please don't go out of your way. Or we could just wait till the next AZ shoot! Where I have to get a hold of more the full auto stuff! [:D] |
|
Quoted: Glad to see you're alive... View Quote Well, see, first there was my radiator, which blew up just north of LA on Monday. 5 hours and $326.48 later, I was back on my way home. Then, TCI/Excite@home found a way to screw up my cable modem, and it's still not fixed, so I'm staying late at work to get caught up with the board. But, it was all worth it. The Tromix, the full-auto stuff, the nifty suppressed 22/45, and the suppressed 7" .22LR AR upper were especially cool. Not to mention the UN targets, Miss Congeneality, the red Jello, and the gongs. But next time, I think I'm gonna fly in, and bring fewer of my toys. I'm ashamed to say that I went home with more than one CLEAN gun, and a bunch of unfired ammo! [}:D] -Troy |

Matt S
IF you think you will need it in the next couple of weeks, we better get together tommorow evening, I am leaving for a couple of weeks to go get my CCNA certification. When I come back I will definitly be ready to go shooting, need to finish sighting the tromix in for 100 yrds. And I want to shoot my Bushy upper on my bushy lower. Only time I have fired the upper was the 2 mags we put through it on your FA lower, dam that was tooo sweet. I also want to play with my 10/22, the trigger is a litle sticky, and I want to try some match ammo. Maybe we can turn it into an unofficial shoot. Sorry to here about your troubles Troy, That is why you should just move out of PRK. Phoenix is a good place to live...hehe...it is a dry heat. Got a question for ya'll. It is a AK question. Instead of retyping everything here is the link... http://assaultweb.net/ubb/Forum3/HTML/002006.html I posted this on AK47 net, did not get much info, one post and the guy described the nhm91 not the NHM90. Love2Shoot....any of Matt S's FA toys....hehehe |
|
Ilove2shoot,
We can just wait a couple of weeks then, I will be out travelling all over this country on business for the next 3 weeks, so I doubt I will be needing it. By the way, what is CCNA? Unfortunately, I don't have any full auto stuff, I just wish I would have shoot some more of the FA that was at the shoot! I think that was Slave1's equipment, so we'll make sure we invite him, thought with twins on the way his schedule will probably be quite limited! |
|
DOH!!! sorry about that Matt S, been screwing everyones names and faces up since the shoot, guess the tromy rattled my brain more then I thought. The CCNA is Cisco Certified Networking Associate.
