Although finally a member I really am unable to
speak the language of this site.

I understand from a completely un-reliable source
that a sub-set of "Oakland Ebonics" may be in use - whatever I just don't know the language.

So "goatboy" and his herd are raising money to
improve the site and I've already sent my $60.00,
I'M WILLING TO DONATE $10.00 - in the name of
the translator - for each code broken up to a maximum of $120.00.  That's a total of (12) broken codes.

Now I'm not gonna pay for "btt" since some
un-thinking member has already published that
secret and for free but will start payment for
the translation of "LEGP."

I do have a couple of selfish motives - one is
to be able to post my for-sale items using
confusing code-words.  It's just too easy to
sell things using "english."

In order to begin this dictionary of code-words
with clean hands, I've got to tell you folks
that I'm gonna offer the "broken" codes to new
members for $10,000./new member !!  (Since this is in the spirit of site-funds raising, I'll
pay a solid 1% of "NET" proceeds  for site improvement.)

Thanks very much ahead of time and please
remember:  btt-btw-svu-suv-abc-cba-U812 !!

P.S.  The "spell-checker" doesn't know any of
the code words either !

Remember, all translations must be clearly posted - not emailed.  That way "goatboy" can
keep me honest.

PLEASE, only one translation per user.  I'll pay $15.00 for the first one to explain
"stop Sign."

Maybe things would be more interesting if there
was a small "fee" for wrong answers ??  Maybe
a $5.00 contribution for a wrong answer with
the moderator being the final judge ??

BE SPORTS - right now I have at least two correct translations which means I'm down $25.00.

I think the "stop sign" you are referring to is a SGW lower receiver. It was made for that company by Olympic Arms and people call is a "stop sign" lower because the company logo stamped on the side is the shape of a stop sign with the company initials inside of it. This is the only "stop sign" meaning I can associate with AR15's.

Michael

If this isn't what you were referring to Ill take another shot at LEGP-Limited Edition Group Purchase. I know that one is right....

LEGP Stands for Limited Edition Group Purchase
This is the AR15 that Castle Arms is getting from Rock River Arms that has a limited edition number on it.

I should read the whole post. if you are looking for btw it stands for by the way

Why do you need to know all our secret code words? You know, IIRC most aren't hard to figure out. But IMHO some can be difficult so unless you really know WTF you are talking about you shouldn't bother. Just buy an LEGP and it comes with a secret decoder ring. Personally I think you should go shoot in a CMP match and buy a DCM gun of your own and quit whining. Simply put, I WTB a stop sign AR or WTT for a CMP Garand, it's that simple. I don't see what's so hard to understand about that. I'm ROTFLMAO thinking about these secret codes. That's a good one. But anyway, take care and good luck with the decode work.

Man, this is an easy one. Haven't you ever asked somebody "WTF they are talking about" or "WTF did you do that for?" or one you will hear in a bar parking lot at 2:00am every night, "WTF are you looking at?" Sometimes it is a stand alone phrase, like maybe you have an out of battery detonation, "WTF!". I know I probably use it 20 times a day.

Michael

A great example would be when you were in highschool and you snuck in your girlfriends window and when her shirt is half off her dad walks in the room and yells, "WTF is going on here!".

Its time for me to GTFO....

Well, I thought it would be a little more fun for you to figure it out for yourself and I didn't want to tell you all of the answers myself. And I know where Edmond is also, my sister went to law school in OKC.

What are some of the other things that need to be translated? Ive known them all so far. Does that mean I spend too much time on the net???

In the spirit of foul play and because this is
going to be a cheap-deal for me I've got to
give TN-LJ double credit ($20.) for his post.

Sparky315 had his AR for sale and had posted
(10) go countem (10) btt's when, probably out
of frustration, TN-LJ posted "OK.  I get
confused with all of this "BTT" stuff.  Is this
still for sale ?"

Sparky translated "btt" but only when forced by
TN-LJ so TN-LJ gets the credit.

Now Sparky's post had been up since MAY !!
Three days after posting the meaning of "btt"
he sold the AR - on July 6 (?) I believe.
Wonder if there's any connection ??

Now I've gone off-board for this goody.  This
is a current posting on Sturmgewehr.com, the
semi-automatic board - posting MOA1999
7/7/01 - 21:13.

"What does "DVC" stand for ??"  This puppy is for $20.00.  (I've already sent an offer to
buy this AR so if you're gona scoop me, go
higher than $950.00 and see if you can get him
to answer your email !!)[:D]

                     Works.

Imbroglio, our long-deprived compadre, has a thing for this Girl At Work.  There have been numerous threads detailing his pining away and so those familiar with his plight have found it appropriate to simply refer to her as the GAW.

I don't know about greek, but in latin DVC can translate to a verb meaning to command someone or to be the leader of a group.

Ill try to figure out some more words that will translate...

Hey, somebody knows their Latin allright.  "Duce", or in writing "DVCE" means leader or to lead.  Now, can you conjugate that into present, imperfect, future, future imperfect, pluperfect, and into an intransive, infinitive, and gerund forms?  [;)]

This little deal was meant primarily to raise a
couple of dollars for this well-deserving site.
However, most of us are both sellers and buyers
and we might be well advised to think of the
customer when writing our ads.

DVC was actually used in a post on Strumgewehr
just as described earlier in this thread as
was "stop-sign" lower.  I say this not tongue-
in-cheek as with some comments but actually
said "WTF ?"  I just completed buying this pre-
ban "AR" but not before having to get two
translations from the seller !  ($950.00 for
a pre-ban "AR" was worth a little hassle.)

I have been informed by the seller that "DVC"
is Greek and stands for "SPEED - POWER - ACCURACY !!  I know, I know that answer was
on the tip of all tongues but mine !!

Looks as if this thread has run its' course
so let's call "STOP."
