Ok here is the deal.

I was out mowing the lawn and the Transmission blew up in my craftsman rider. While I fully realize that the mower is a total pile.... The motor runs great still and the deck is in OK shape. However everything else has fallen to peices! The other day I was mowing the lawn and the headlites fell out!

At this point its not worth it to get the trans redone on a general pile O' crap. So I'm considering salvaging the engine and the deck along with maby a few other little components and building my own machine from parts. Im thinking of building a tube frame then mounting a hydralic pump and a couple wheel motors effectivly creating a poor man's Zero-Turn lawn mower. So any ideas...? I'm not sure on the cost of the pump and motors but im going to look them up in northern. Hoping to have somthing oporational for a few hundred.
thanks
OS
