Was at my son's Tball practice tonight.  He threw the ball & it was rolling towards me.

I move right foot to stop ball.  Rt foot slips on ground.  Left foot remains in place.  I go down HARD!!  on arse,  back,  neck.  Left foot basically stays in place.  Knee goes 'sproing'.

I've had it iced & elavated for about 3hrs now,  & hope I can move in the morning.

eta: 'cause I don't know left from right.

Ouch!

A buddy of mine (also 42 y/o at the time, btw) tried to execute some fancy skateboard maneuver on his kids halfpipe setup.

Fractured pelvis.

Surgery, lots of screws and pins accompanied by a long recovery/rehabilitaion time.

So I guess that it could be worse.
