Let's just say that he'd better not think about running for any national position anytime soon.
I doubt that South Carolina Republicans are going to toss him over the side. And that's probably a good idea. Just take something from him that he really wants. Like a highway funding bill. Why are so many of you so willing to let the Democrats get control of the Senate over these judicial appointments?
These judges are of little or no significance as far as gun rights are concerned. Even if Bush got all of his nominations approved, it really wouldn't cause a dramatic power shift on any of the appeals courts. Handing the senate over to the Dems could be catostrophic for gun owners. |

Basically the Dems got their way. They said they would allow votes on 3 of the 5 but no comment on if they would block the other 2. The real question is what did the Republicans get? Answer, they got nothing but a promise from the dems that they would filibuster most of the judges. So basically Republicans back down again and turn into a bunch of pussies even though we control the House, Senate, and the President. It sucks that the Republican party does not have any leaders. |

According to a former staff member of his, he is verrrry queer. I was told about several occasions where they would have to go to his apartment to wake him up because he had overslept and his boyfriend would be in bed with him. He also told me the supposed real reason Joe Scarborough is on MSNBC and no longer a US representative. Allegedly he violated rule number one of business, keep thy rod out of thy staff. A pregnant young intern and a "suicide" in his office made Joe bail out. Smart guy. Gary Condit indirectly saved his ass by clogging the papers with the Levy story and keeping Joe's problems out. |
