Armed with a semi-automatic rifle, Colorado upholsterer Francisco Duran fires 27 shots at the White House from the sidewalk on Pennsylvania Ave. Because he opted for Chinese-made SKS rifle, few of Duran's shots come anywhere near the building. Nevertheless, he receives a life sentence for attempting to assassinate President Clinton.

"A month later, a Colorado man opened fire through the White House fence with a rifle, spraying the front of the building with at least 29 bullets. The gunman, Francisco Duran, was sentenced to 10 years in prison."

Thank you. 10 years for shooting at some ducks? What the ??? Just because they were flying over the White house at the time. Man! The government really got into a tizzy over that one huh?!
