First, my 170+ dollar gloomis broke in half while casting with it....

I thought that was bad enough.

Me and a friend went up to Smithville fri/sat. Fished the trimble/platte area saturday morning, not a bite. On the way back towards the bridge (about 2 miles away) we were putting along around 4-6 mph in 12-15 feet of water and BOOM! Smacked a stump and the motor shuts down. Happens a lot up there. Put the throttle back to idle turn the key...POP! (think of gears grinding here) and I shut it back down. Tilted the motor back up and a silver dollar size piece of the lower end is missing about 6 inches back from the prop and oil and bits of gears are flowing out of it. While admiring what had just happened we drifted over near the bank and got stuck on a stump in about 4 feet of water. I had go get out and push (I'm only about 5'9".

To make it worse, my sprint phone didn't get service in that area and we used to trolling motor for 40 minutes crawling along the bank to get us closer to home. Finally after moving to the middle of the lake and trying to flag people down a nice older man and his wife came and gave us a tow up to the trimble dock.

I also had a cutoff t-shirt and my arms have never fried so bad. I almost slept in the tub.
They are bubbling little puss bubbles today.

I had a few crappy things happen but after reading your post, I think I'll keep it to myself.

That bad day of fishing's going to cost about 2 weeks worth of work to fix.

Not too bad for me. I chipped a tooth installing a toolbox on my truck, then got that truck stuck in a hole and had to winch it out. It could always be worse my friend.

I was putting the side rail back on after I cut them down to fit with the toll box on. It is a gullwing type box. Wife decided to see how easy it opens and bam flys upen and hits me in the jaw.

Thought I had it bad spending the two days cleaning out the garage and lower level of the house.

After reading that, I had it good.  Trashman hates me but still all good.

Found out that my daughter stopped going to class 2 months ago.  0.0 GPA for the semester.


It was not a good weekend in the Photokirk household.

I helped put on a Friends of N.R.A. Dinner and we netted about $30,000. I also won a gun but not any of the ones I really wanted. I won a S&W camo semi auti .22 pistol.  There were a lot of guns I wanted more but I put in a few tickets on that for good measure and won it.

It was a good weekend.

It was a crappy weekend! My horse bucked me off, hard! Then proceeded to break about $100 of tack. I got in my first car wreck. I got to ride in an ambulance, which was kind of exciting. My left hand is the size of a grapefruit, lots of soft-tissue damage. Was it a bad thing that my first thought after the crash was "Crap, am I going to be able to reload my gun?" Oh well, only goes uphill from here!

Because he's banned from here.  He posted something over at pre-ban about it.

My bad weekend resulted mainly from ( for once) having a busy social calender...3 parties between Friday and Sunday...and having the weather turn a bit unseasonal by Saturday afternoon and basically ruining two of the get-togethers.

All my weekends are bad.
