From Nov/Dec 1992 American Handgunner page 145:
==============================================
“Keep on the lookout for good deals on Remington rifles.  Mass merchandiser K-Mart returned 15,000 unsold rifles to the Big Green gunmaker……

Remington agreed to accept the returned merchandise on the condition that K-Mart would buy all Remington-brand rimfire and centerfire ammunition.  Previously, K-Mart sold primarily CCI rimfire and centerfire, plus some Winchester.

If you think this is not a big deal, think again.  Little ole K-Mart, with its 1,500 retail outlets, represents a staggering 10% of the total U.S. ammo market, worth an estimated $20 million a year.”
