Damn I wish I lived in the country again.  It is so nice to fire weapons from your back porch.

My buddy in MO that I deer hunt with can and HAS deer hunted from the arcadia door & deck of his bedroom.

Two years ago he got one and his wife gave him shit for shooting his '06 20ft away while she was still asleep  so he agreed to walk at least 50 yards away from the house to hunt.

ETA: I can't shoot out my back door (legally) but a short 20 minute drive up the highway and I'm in the desert, able to blast away.

You sir, are one lucky bastard.  I've gotta drive at least 25 miles to shoot my AR.

Well, at 65MPH that's a mile a minute, and I'm doing 70-75+ most of the time, so it's actually about the same.

I shot a crow from my kitchen window yesterday morning, a skunk in the front yard last night, and a blackbird from the kitchen window this morning.

Cool story:

Shined the spotlight on the pond last night. Two bobcats were sitting on the levee, 20' feet from the new crop of ducks, as if they were reading a menu. Strangely, all the ducks were still there this morning. Maybe bobcats don't like to get wet?
