My wife does it once in a while. She saves money on eye glasses and
gets reimbersed for meals at Sonic. You have to do a little paper work
to get that free cheese burger though. I help her with it. It's not bad.
Don't quit your day job because your not going to make a lot of money.

Read the Fine Print, and there lies your answer. It is a marketing scam. They advertise 1000 gift card, but they say in the fine print that after you spend alot of money buying six of their advertisers products they will basically send you $25 bucks gift certificate.

Ok, i used a fake name to get to the end of the part where they show you what to buy. And you have to buy two of these 3 things in order to qualify. You have to either sign up for Vonage, or Buy a Car (yes you read that right), or buy a sattelite dish system.

the old lady worked for such a joint typing up reports at the hq for a couple of years. It was a scam, but she was paid well in the office. got a lot of "perks" eating at corporate and franchise kaka joints. Used to drag me along for "reviews".

I read the privacy policy etc. , but I guess I didn't read as thorough as you did. I knew it sounded too good to be true. Thats why I wanted to ask Ya'll. Hell $1000 @ Home Depot = a new riding lawnmower is what I was thinking.

Then I could spend that $1000 on a basic AR and mags :)

We used to have secret shoppers come into the autoparts store that I used to work in. They'd come in and act like a dumbass and ask what plugs you recommend and then they'd try to buy like 7 of them for a 4 cylinder car. If you didn't recommend the plugs that were on sale that month you got docked points. It was all BS the store manager knew most of them and they'd just chat it up for an hour or so and the "secret shopper" would leave. One time a Champion rep came in as a secret shopper and asked what kind of plugs my buddy recommends for his Suburban. AC Delco being OE he said that Delco plugs would be the best. Guy pulled out a $50 bill and said "if you had said Champion, this would be yours" and walked out of the store.

there are a lot of secret shopper scams, then there are a couple of companies that actually do it, if they ask for any money or anything its a scam. otherwise theres some good companies. I used to work for one that did alcahol policy compliance checks for some major stores. I made about $100 a week, and got a ton of free beer. it was a good supplement for a college kid, but not much more
