I don't want an AR-15 anymore I want a blaster.

Even though they are clumsy, random and uncivilized.

Poor jedi...

I feel really bad for Mace Windu most of all... despite Samuel Jackson's pleadings, the ONLY jedi to have a purple lightsaber died "like a bitch."

Uh, if we're picking a Star Wars artifact to 'bring back through the stargate', and it has to be something you can carry, I'm going with a lightsaber.

And extra batteries of course.

Oh, hell yes. Make mine orange.

I have a theory about how lightsabers would work... they are not actually photons or lasers, but perhaps a sort of infinitely thin force field that projects a smaller force outwards... the glow is just various elements in the air being excited by the energy of the field. If it can cause the surrounding air to incandesce, it can probably heat metal, and the heat and thinness are what allows it to cut so well. And being a force field would explain it being able to reflect blaster (plasma) bolts.

On a side note, General Grievous was fricking awesome.

Saw it this morning.
Very good movie.
The dialogue sucked, but the battles, the overall plot and especially the multitude of lightsaber duels made it more than worthwhile.
Second best Star Wars movie, after TESB.
