Woman killed by bears

From correspondents in Warsaw
May 21, 2005

A POLISH woman was mauled to death by bears after she tried to walk along the wall of their enclosure and fell off, police in the southern city of Chorzow said today.

Police spokesman Jacek Pytel said the woman might have lost her balance, although officials were still trying to determine the precise cause of the accident. Duh... she was a moron, could that be it?

"I'm not sure what she was doing ... I've lived here all my life and I've been here many times but I've never heard of anybody taking it into their head to walk on that wall," he said.

Hey - bears gotta eat, too... Fortunately, they appear to have developed a taste for the stupid....
