 ANdy Saddam 'could sue over pictures' 9.15PM, Fri May 20 2005 A member of Saddam Hussein's legal team claims the ex-dictator is planning to sue The Sun for publishing photos of him in his underwear. The photos show the former Iraqi president in his prison cell. His French lawyer Emmanuel Ludot believes they were released by the US to destroy his image in Iraq. Mr Ludot also claims the pictures show Americans have contempt for Iraqi people and prisoners of war. The Red Cross has said the pictures may violate the Geneva Convention and the US military has launched an investigation in an attempt to find out who took the pictures. White House press spokesman Trent Duffy said the photos could have a similar impact on the insurgency in Iraq as revelations of detainee abuse at Baghdad's Abu Ghraib prison. The Sun has said it will publish more pictures of Saddam tomorrow. Mr Duffy said: "This could have serious impact, as we talked about, with the revelations of prisoner abuse. "What the United States did in both of those situations, however, is recognise that, take immediate steps to investigate and get to the bottom of why it happened and how it happened and take steps to make sure that people are held to account." http://www.itv.com/news/world_1981692.html |

His image? What the hell. Dictator, mass murderer, psychopath. What image are they worried about? Oh thats right some prison time will rehab him and he will be a normal citizen when he gets out. Gimme a fucking break. No suprise the bastard has a french lawyer.
