Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Do any other "big name" companies make "walkman" type AM/FM receivers?

I see this Sony I want, but no one has one in stock online or any stores, for the life of me I can't seem to find any other makers online that sell portable radio receivers that compare favorably to Sony.

Does Sony still hold that patent or something?

If you don't need cassette or mp3, check out Sangean (couple have TV & WX)

I have a couple of Sangeans, but I use them for SW moreso than music. WX is handy if you do any hiking, TV is so you can listen to "24" while skulking around dumpsters behind the mall in a ninja outfit, WAIT, I didn't mean to type that, ha ha! I was just kidding!
