I am dying to own one of these. 300 HP and about 1000 lbs. The video is a must-see.

Wow!
It's pretty cool! Now, how the heck do you import it from England..... |
Looks like fun.... except for having to pick all the bugs out of your teeth after a few laps!
I've seen a few for sale in the US. Since they are not street legal, they can be imported and sold. The only place you can drive them is on a track. Price loaded is about $50K. The $67.5K quoted in the article is New Zealand dollars. |
Wow. Did you see what it did to his face around the 3 minute mark?
Enzo performance for under $50K. |
Street legal or not, if you drive it like the STARBOYZ (FTP) you can get away with it. |

I love that show--I need to see if I can download (legally) more episodes. The guy is a great host--
"I don't need to wear a helmet....so my epiglottis is full of BEES..." |
is anyone else having trouble downloading the vid?
I want the car, tho... |
old. ;)
saw it on top gear a while back. beat the porsche carrera GT on their test track with the stig showboating as well as a honda cbr 600. me and a friend are building a fisher fury kit car with a modded busa motor. good times. |
I am enthusiastically downloading all the top gear episodes I can find from finalgear.com.
Most amusing so far has been the one where their special guest hypnotised one of the car reviewers so that he couldn't remember how to drive a car. This week's episode apparently involved a Land Rover's attempts to escape from a Challenger Tank cross-country. NTM |
Yes it is. Just not in the US. You can't even drive a tank in the US, for crying out loud. NTM |
I don't really understand why it is not street legal. I mean, motorcycles are street legal...so why not a little beast like this?
They ARE street legal
..and this is OOOLLLDDD news. Seriously, like 4 years old! |
That's pretty damn awesome, but the Honda CRB RR only costs around 10k.
You guys should see the Jap version.
It has formula1 style front and rear spoilers. |
That is amazing |
there are a few in the states that have been converted for street use...however when I say a "few", thats it...like 3. |
If the new ones aren't street leagl, it wouldn't take much at all to make it that way. Basically you would have to get past little BS, like how long the battery can last under it's own power...shit like that. There are lots of ATV's that are street legal, it's not like splitting ATOM's HAHA...get it... |
That is an impressive little machine for the money. The vid was great, too. I love how his face stretches from the wind and acceleration.
Must....have....atom...
Seriously, is this thing available in the US? Is there an importer you can get one from, or do you have to have it imported yourself? It seems people have conflicting views about weather or not it is street legal in the US. Is it or not? I can't imagine that it would take much to make it street legal. Where can I get more info about getting one of these things in the US? |
Unless you're going to be trailering it to Road America I wouldn't bother. There is no way that thing is street legal here. |
Why not? What are the requirements that a car has to have to be street legal? |
varys by state, but: Windshield or helmet w/visor wipers DOT approved headlights DOT taillights DOT tires smog equipment turnsignals fenders(some states) prolly some more shit too |
lucas electronics for under 50k |

Spoken like a Triumph owner... |
