It's kinda fuzzy, but you can just make out the 5, followed by 5 zero's.

Well, it's a 100 mile round trip every day to work, then driving around on weekends. Oh, and it is close to a 100 mile round trip to the range three saturdays a month. It adds up (quick). The drive train is all original, except for a 5 gallon bucket of u-joints. |

Hey TJ. Do you like the Miata? Just curious. I was thinking of getting one for wife unit. Saw a nice silver one. They seemed to go for nothing, but I never really paid much attention to them. She's only a mile from work and the Concrode LXI is overkill. I bought the Concorde new to wrap sheet metal around her and little Ramjet years ago. |

158,000 '98 Trooper On the Trooper, only replaced the EGR outside of tires, brake, batteries. Bought new. Mazda just needed the cv joints, waterpump, and a radiator. Before that, I had a '95 Ford SHO....and replaced just about everything but the motor....died at 215k. That was such a money pit, but what a great Yamaha engine. |

Brake light came on this morning, I'm trying to get it to 500,000. 28 miles to the gallon, payed for and no reason to get rid of it. Its been through 2 deer crashes, 2 hale storms, 3 tornados, and 8 yrs of Clinton. It takes a lickin and keeps on tickin. The only work I 've done to it is brakes and front end suspension work, changed out all the fluids when needed. It has been a great car. |

Its my wifes toy car and very suited to mountianous back roads where I live. It handles and drives just like the old MGs and Triumphs except you never have work on it. Without a doubt its the finest Mazda built in regards to quality. It has a unique drive train to the other Mazdas and truly a class of its own in the Mazda lineup. It is very small but in bright colors, ours is red, it catches the eye of other drivers pretty well. I commuted with it for two years and surprisingly found it no more dangerous from not being seen than my other cars. Though small its pretty heavy and not a rocket ship but I guess the best word is peppy. Best suited for two lanes, it still does pretty well on the highway and by no means as rough a ride as the old MGs and Triumphs. The rear wheel drive gives it a sports car feel but does lack in traction on wet roads about equal to a small S10 or Ranger type pickup. The steering is tight and corners on a dime so there's no sleeping behind the wheel if you know what I mean. Like its predecessors, its a noisy little car but makes up for it with one fine stereo. you poor thing, better start shopping around now. my 98 neon POS crapped out on my at 100k. man i HATED that car with a passion. when i bought it used in highschool, i would ONLY look at neons, i wouldnt buy anything else. about a year later, i was kicking myself for being so dumb. luckily when i had to overhaul the transmission, it was barely still under warranty. but then it all went to shit after that. NOW i have a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee Larado that just turned 130K and keeps on truckin' |
