Take out opinions in any posts and you are down to substance. For me informative because in most cases I am looking for specifics i.e. facts and experience. Just don't take opinions to seriously and your OK. Opinions are like assholes, everyone has them, and most are full of shit.

Take all the opinions out, that leaves you with 20% left.
Take all the asinine incorrect "facts" posted out, that leaves you with 1% real, honest to goodness actual info. That's my guess.

Collectively, the membership of this site knows everything--and is amazingly willing to share their knowledge. I've seen physicians, engineers, mechanics, HVAC techs, nurses, gunsmiths, LEO's, just about every knowledgeable individual in every/any field there is sharing their expertise. It never ceases to amaze me.
 I view it as the essence and reason for existence of the site.

This site has such a huge number of people in different professions that it is often more accurate than a lot of the news media stories. We've got people in many foriegn countries of Europe, Central & South American, Scandanivian Countries, Australia, UK.

I'd say it's more of a lot of B.S.-ing than actual B.S. though there's plenty of that to go around. I don't take arfcom too seriously, I just go about having fun and being me. As Winson Wolf can tell you there's little difference between me, here on the net and me out and about in the real world. I am just plain wierd and I really don't care...it's who I am.....except that I don't look like a big moon in real life.....

I would say that 30% is BS. I had a friend ask me this question just recently. You can find info on just about anything here. Medical, legal, gun info, taxes, insurance ect. Lots of good stuff.

80/20. Seems to me like half or so of the topics are of the BS variety, zombies or tv shows or "Would you hit it?". Even informative topics on politic, religion (dear God is this true) and other stuff is crammed with BS in various posts.
ETA: A lot of it is entertaining BS, however. |
