Because when in Texas...

I received a bottle of that as part of my Christmas exchange present from Gloftoe!  That was great stuff!  I happened to snag another bottle of Tito's when I was in Texas fro a trial last month!

I've found that Grey Goose and Belvedere are very comparable, but I believe that Belvedre is Polish, and Grey Goose is French - which makes the decision easier

Btw - speaking of really good vodkas, there is a Danish brand called Friis that's REALLY good.  If you run across it, definitely try it.

The Dutch make vodka?

I'll look for it

Ketel One IS Dutch, unless I'm mistaken

Please don't tell me you're putting stuff in your mouth without knowing what it is!!!

Just to add to the confusion,

If you like Ketel One (a Dutch vodka) you might really like the Dutch "genever" - which is kind of a vodka/gin kinds of drink.  The "Bols" company has been making it since the middle of the 1500s, and it's really quite good.

Forgive me for doubting a native.

Can you import it for cheap from any of your relatives in the "old country"?

I WISH !

I've lived in misery in the last 15 years because you can't get Tuborg beer in St. Louis or Chicago (probably anywhere in the midwest).  If I knew of a way to get it here, I'd be drinking some right now .  There's a rumor that one of the Danish furniture stores sneak in a bunch of it in a container full of Danish furniture every year, but I've never seen any evidence of that.

Although you can get Akvavit - a very old Danish drink, that it like a herbed/spiced vodka, and which I find very tasty - especially on cold winter days.

Grey Goose is made in FRANCE.  The "fart" joke is Monty Python.

Ketel One is made in Holland.   Best foreign stuff, IMO.

Titos is made in Austin , Texas.  I love this stuff too.  Getting more and more of it lately.  Doing my small part to contribute to the local economy.

Ketel is not vodka, it is a drink made of juniper berry's.  Juniper is 'jenever' in dutch. and that is the name of the drink over here in the netherlands.
There are 2 kinds of Jenever young and old.

All I had was Titos's , some Stoli and some Vox.  What do you think of Vox?  I found several of the little bottles back in the cabinet.

Well, the Tito's vodka chaser was ok.  Now for the shot inside the glass.

ok, I have to admit the shot inside the beer was pretty smooth.  I really never thought of vodka as a bar/late night drink, even though I know several serious drinkers that only drink vodka.  I always think of vodka as a morning drink or girly drink.

Anyways, EdTo, can I ship you a bottle of Tito's to measure against your best stuff?
