Pay no attention to it and forget you ever saw it.

No it's for real, if you strip away all the conspiracy theories that is. The media loves to portray this as being more than it actually is. It's a forum for big business where they can discuss the business environment and other things that have an indirect effect on the business climate.

The reason the press doesn't like these meetings is because they are not allowed to sit in or, on the few occasions when they were allowed in, they were not allowed to report much about what was said. This allows the participants to speak freely about different matters without the fear of repercussions from the media or the public. Kinda like when a guy who has his own plumbing service kicks back a few beers and shoot the breeze at the local watering hole with his buddy who owns an electrical appliance store. We don't raise a fuzz about blue collar workers doing it, but as soon as it's corporate CEOs there must be something funny going on.
Give me a break!

It is a real organisation of VERY rich and powerful select individuals that get together every year to discuss what policies they want to implement for the peseants.

No offense, but what they are doing is just good business practice. You and I would do the same thing too if we were in their position.
