Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Rules for shooting in the back woods?

This weekend I went camping and drove up on some dirt/gravel roads in the woods, I'm not sure who's land it was, but there were no gates, and there were a lot of 9mm, .380, and 7.62 shells laying around, not to mention countless .22's.  Can anyone tell me the rules for how to figgure out weather or not it's legal to shoot somewhere?  I'm in Washington State.
