I hope those alleged statements by the Japanese and Soviets aren't as bogus as the oft-quoted "statement" by Hitler about German gun control. I'd like to see some sources for those quotes, PRIMARY SOURCES. They are, like the Hitler, quote almost too good to be true. Not a flame, I hope they're genuine.

Glad to see someone like Geoff Metcalf say this in print!

Too many people with guns that know how to use them. Now if we can get them to rid themselves of their guns then........ The Soviets said a similar thing about Sweden - the Swedish military, except for the national guard, won't present much of a problem as they are highly disciplined. It's the national guard and the large quantity of hunters therein, that will present the main problem for an invasion. Sweden has a nationally recognized week in the fall where people are expected to go hunt. Not too shabby, eh? |

Guns in Americans hands has always been the deterrent to invaders from the outside! The Brits could have been ground into to the ground by Germany, if it were not for the American people donating their personel arms to help the Brits in their war efforts!
In this year of 2001 though, the enemy is within and Americans are loosing their guns to tyranny! |
