I for one wish that there were rifles chambered in .475 and .500 Linebaugh.

Maybe like the Marlin 1895GS.... man.. that'd be SWEET!

Captain Obvious, Virgin Valley guns offers both the .475 and .500 Linebaughs in any barrel length for T/C Encores.

Noname, they also offer the .358 Win. in a 15" Encore barrel.

Myself, I would like to see more rifles chambered in .50 BMG.

A nice ultralight 6.5x55 swede in a bolt gun with an ultralight barrel, super low scope, and a really nice piece of walnut, without having to go the custom route.

AR-15 (.50 BMG)
AR-15 (12 Gauge)
AR-15 (.45-70)
AR-15 (9mm/10mm x 54) (I know it doesn't exist. But it sure would be good.)

There are more than enough .22LR guns, but I'd like to see more conversion kits for "Assault Rifles" .22 is alot cheaper that .223. I used to take my .22 out and shoot 2,000 rounds in one day. I had to get a Hi-Cap Mag. just to fire it all. But, alas I shot it to failure (High Misfire Rate)

Finally, how about some more .30-06 "Assault Rifles" The only one I know of is the B.A.R. and that is out of my price range.

This may sound old.......

(sniff), but I wouldn't mind seeing more guns (pistols) chambered for 38 Super.....the way it was ORIGINALLY loaded.

How about two AR15's in a machine gun set up? Top to top in a side by side fasion each w/ 100 bata C mag? Saw one for a 10-22.....figured, why not an AR.....

How about a 223 length shell that propelled a 140-160 grain bullet about 2400+ fps that would also work in a AR and scaled down bolt.

Some of you guy's need to get out more. The AR is already chambered in 45-70. It's called the Tromix 458 SOCOM. Ballistics and bullet weight match up very closely and it's even a rimless design.

i'd like to see a (short action) 6.5 mm caliber adopted by a military organization somewhere. one of the things keeping me from getting an ar10 in 260 is the availability of a lot of ammo. i've toyed with the notion of necking the 223 up to 6.5 mm--but i'd have to reload all my own ammo and as much as i like to shoot it wouldn't be worth it.

just an interesting fact. did yall realize that the 147 grain ball .308 ammo massse just a shade over twice as much as 55 grain ball .223? i never realized that there was that big of a difference in mass.

AR's chambered for 5.45 x 39mm. At $100 for 1K. that's a good deal and then you can have another magic bullet just like the .223 ( not to start a debate about which is better- have both but sure like the price line of 5.45). More variety.

Add me to the 10mm Auto list. In particular, how about another revolver other than S&W and a carbine option other than the Oly Arms AR upper?

With regards to caseless ammo, what's wrong with brass? However widespread caseless ammo may become, it'll probably always be very expensive and never allow for reloading. Look at all the wonderful benefits of brass; it's reloadable (yes, even Berdan), it holds your components together nice and neat, it does a good job of protecting those components, and it expands to seal the chamber. Other than being lighter, what more could you ask for? Maybe the anti's will push for caseless ammo to curb reloading with the side benefit of making it too expensive to shoot.

Wadman - .458 SOCOM may be similar to .45-70, but it's _not_ .45-70 [:D]

Ditto on the 7.62x25 as well, I'd love to see more pistols in that caliber.

Shazbat, I checked the numbers and bullet diameter, weight, and MV are very close (almost identical 300gr @ 2100fps). Plus you can fit the 458 SOCOM in an AR mag.

An AR-15 in .50bmg [b]does[/b] exist; it's made by Watson's weapons.

Regretfully, I'd bet that an AR-15 in 12 ga would be classified as a NFA "destructive device" by the BATF due to it's barrel diameter of voer half an inch [ala USAS-12].

AR15man I agree with you. I too love .22 mag (and am also not sure why.) I have a Grendel R31 carbine that shoots .22 mag. The magazines hold 30 rounds. I love that thing! I have also lusted for a .22 Hornet semi-auto. (Good idea Erasmus.)

I like the idea of an upper (and matching magazine) for:

1.) 10mm
2.) .357 sig
3.) .22 Hornet
4.) 5.7x28mm (from the FN Five-seveN pistol)

3 and 4 would be the most fun, I think.

Yes, Yes, YES. Somebody else feels the way I do! Unfortunately, you'll NEVER see the likes of this round anywhere in the U.S. in your lifetime. Along the same line of thought though, I would like to see some pistol or smaller SMG that is chambered in .222 Remington. You get similar effects from the .223 trajectory, but in a lighter, less recoil load.

Scratch #1 off your list. Olympic Arms has four different pistol caliber uppers. The 10mm Auto is one of them. Using converted Uzi 41 AE magazines, you'd have yourself an 18 shot 10mm carbine. (they say 16 rounds but I managed 18)
