I watched a show on the History Channel last night that said we do--but in the form of incendiary bombs. They said the U.N. tried to force a worldwide treaty to ban the use of any kind of fire as a weapon and the U.S. refused to ratify it and "continues to use incendiary bombs." Makes me proud--God Bless America!! <begins to loudly sing the Star Spangled Banner>

AFAIK, there are no regulations restricting civilian ownership of flamethrowers either. If there are, then GB needs to edit some content in the Information link at the top of the page.

wow! i never even thought of that! no need for precise aim no need for $500 surefire no danger of overpenetration great 1 shot stop % (screw you marshal+sanow) no need for ear protection i am so getting one. mstn or adco?

Flamethrowers are legal for civilians to own. However, igniters are restricted by ATF. Without an igniter, a flamethrower is nothing more than an interesting conversation piece. |

Big_Bear is correct, the ignitors are a restricted item.
And without the ignitor, all you have is a big ass weed sprayer. |
