Sorry to hijack this thread, but since you arrived at a decision on the avatar, can you tell me how long it took for your membership to be activated. I did the paypal thing 3 days ago, and was wondering when I'll get to choose my avatar and have that " Team Member" appear in these posts. Plus I want to get into the top secret access where the photos of area 51 are kept.

They have to be done manually by GoatBoy (only) as time allows. Typically it's two weeks, sometimes three. Six weeks is too long, so please send an e-mail with cut/paste of PayPal receipt and your screen name to: [email protected]

Put something catchy in the subject line like "MEMBERSHIP EMERGENCY!!!!"

Account upgrades have to be handled manually by GoatBoy between his RL job, family and such. It takes anywhere from a day to two weeks (occasionally longer). Please be patient and know the term of your membership begins when you are upgraded, NOT when you paid. Thanks for supporting the site!
