[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Have I Moved On Or Just Going Senile?

I went hom on my lunch hour to check on my dog, I think he pulled a leg or groin muscle this weekend and he is walking with some level of discomfort. Have him on an aspirin regimen per the vet and it seems to be helping. Anyway, I digress, while home I checked the mail and there was an envelope with cardboard inserts that was marked with "do not bend, photos." I look at the return address in neighboring East Greenbush and the name, which was only the initial "S" with the last name which began with "H." I'm racking my brain trying to figure out who I know in the small town of East Greenbush with that last name and first initial and I can't think of it. Open the package and out pops one of my baby pictures and a note from my former fiance Shelby! She found it while going through some keepsakes and figured my mother would want it back. Now granted, we split up 3 1/2 years ago, but I didn't even recognize the initial and last name, just didn't register. Kind of scares me a little as I'll be turning 33 in a couple weeks!

When you get to 46, like me, THEN start worrying.

The only problem I seem to have right now is when the GF or her daughter borrow one of my tools, like a hammer, and don't put it back.

When I need it and start looking for it the first thig I hear is, "You set it down somewhere and you forgot where".

Yeah, right, as I find it under the daughter's bed, or the screwdriver stuck in the sewing kit, or the pliers in the silverware drawer.........

happens to all of us. I hate when I walk into the next room and forget what I was going to get. ( but I usually remember once I walk back into the original room).

awh you bunch of young ems! I believe my family holds the world record for losing a remote. The kids got a DVD player for Christmas last year and we never did find it! Kind of think the hubby tossed it out with the trash. He tends to get a little fanatical there!
