Last night an unidentified man set himself on fire in the Emergency Dept of University Hospital in San Antonio.  He had 40% third degree burns.  The ED had to be evacuated for about 2 hours.  Dude must have been motivated.  I saw a gal once several years ago who doused herself in gasoline and lit a match.  The amazing thing was, she lived; she was in our Burn Unit for about 6 months.

Yep.  It was at change of shift.  The staff knocked him down and put him out.  He was transferred to the BAMC (Brook Army Medical Center) burn unit.  About 70 patients in the ED had to be moved outside.

If he didn't before, he did afterwards!

Burning flesh is not a pleasant smell.

Don't ask me how I know.

I spoke to someone who was there, and they think he used lighter fluid, but not sure.  He was acting "very disturbed" according to other people in the waiting room.
