It's been a lifelong dream of mine to have the Box-o-truth kind of back yard.

Downside is that its 1:45 min drive from work.

Upside:   This is a new 2000 sq ft house on 40 acres.  Price is right, so I can afford to keep my current house, but will probably rent it out eventually.

I would only have to drive in maybe 3 times a week.  Flying to work is also a possibility money permitting as I work at an airport, and have a hangar and have the know-how.

The wife and kids want it, should I take the plunge?

an hour and forty five minutes each way to work?  Shit, I go to school an hour from my parents house and I moved to an apartment.

I couldn't imagine 3 and 1/2 hours on the road each and every day.

Yes.  You're not gonna be working forever.  Also, you can still keep your other house and stay there.

Yes.

You'll be kickin' yourself later if you don't.

If you don't like it...you can always sell it later.

But 40 Acres. That's a lot of shootin' range.

Again...

Yes.

You only have to drive in three times a week and it's only 105 minutes???

Jeez man, I had to drive that much 7 days a week when I lived in DC.

Get off the computer and buy it before I do.

BTW, since you are doing what the hive commands, get me a sammich.

It takes me about an hour and a half on average to get to and from work every day.  On a bad day it'll take me 2 hours or more to get to work.  I hate it.  However, I'm more used to it now than I was when I first started...You kinda just get used to the horrible, horrible driving.  Oh yeah, this is in LA traffic too.

Yes. No better time to buy.

And three days a week, the commute is worth it.

They're not making any more land. (except those guys in the persian gulf who make islands and then put resorts  on them, I think its right off the coast of Dubai)

Do it.

Yes, the only caveat is enjoy your shooting range now. I have lost two goose pits in the last few years as Denver keep gobbling up the rural land.

And I also lost an informal shooting range this summer because of development
