Maybe I should have posted this in the woman's forum and got their opinions.

Outside of the many offered definitions, it is what was repeated at my wedding. Apparently it wasn't sound enough because I'm single again. |

"not forget where the kitchen is" "be happy with your lot in life" .....theres so many. |

...never say you have a headache. |

Destroy.
Bend over. "Sign this pre-nup?" Get a job. Beat Sgtar15's ass. Not watch soaps Learn to cook never "have a headache" "service your new husband whenever and wherever he wants, in any way he asks, cheerfully and without complaint, even if it means sleeping on the wet spot?" CJ |

Groom:
In the name of God, I, (name), take you, (name), to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until we are parted by death. This is my solemn vow. Bride: In the name of God, I, (name), take you, (name), to be my husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until we are parted by death. This is my solemn vow. I searched, and I can't find one that includes "honor" or "obey" Roman Catholic Wedding Vows I, (name), take you, (name), to be my (husband/wife). I promise to be true to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. I will love you and honor you all the days of my life. Found honor... |

sgtar15 you should know too that "man should love his wife as Christ loves His church and women are to be submissive to man's love as His church is to Christ." Patty |
That's very true. But obey should always be in there. Otherwise, who is the head of the household? SGatr15 |
I really do not think it matters what the correct answer is since most people do not honor any of the other vows they make that day, unfortanately. |
The Lord should be the head of all households. Husbands and wives should be submissive to Christs love and example. Patty *ETA* Just say "YES DEAR" and I'm sure what ever you did Joyce will forgive you! |
I was just going to say the same thing Patty said in not so effective of a manner. Relieved to find she beat me to the punch. If I'm not careful, my wife will start asking her opinion on all sorts of things........... |
Hah! I wake up sayin g "Yes Dear" because I just KNOW I am going get blamed for something. Sgtar15 PS Great answer |
Too funny Sgtar15! Well done! Patty PS Wise_Jake introduce your wife to me, I'm certain I can learn from her! |
Of course you can...the problem is I never met a woman that could be taught anything. Sgatr15 |
...honk the jake twice daily. |

Can't believe that I'm wasting post 500 on this.
For 40 years I have always understood that the words that follow are "Wait on me hand and foot". |
Well Sgatr15 you have to realize it's not OUR fault that we already know everything you want us to learn. Patty |
cmj you're quite a catch hon! |
It's not what you might learn from her, but what I'm afraid she might learn from *you* that's gonna make me have to decline that offer! Seriously, she met a few folks from the TX crew at one of the last Hun Farm shoots, but I'm not sure if our sphere of influence will ever get much bigger than that. At least not until we make enough $$$$ to travel further than 300 mi one way! |

Why did I not get *this*, of all things, inserted into my wife's vows............. |
