AIM... WTF??? What is happening here?????

I downloaded AIM last night. Now I am here reading posts and the page keeps disappearing. It is replaced with a page that says:

Page Not Found!
The page you are attempting to find was not found on this site.
You may have typed its location incorrectly or it may have been moved or deleted.

Try these other great sites or use AIM Search!

This is happening about every 2 minutes. WTF????????

It installed spyware <muttering something very profane about computer programmers and their managers>.
Ad-aware and Spybot S&D together will pretty much take care of spyware.

Not sure.......I blame AIM for many of my spyware/adware problems..........Especially that annoying "Weather Bug" program........There might be someone who can give you more help under General- Urban Commandos http://ar15.com/forums/forum.html?b=1&f=124. I use Mozilla as my internet browser now.....I had a LOT of problems with Internet Explorer and Mozilla is free to download.......most everything runs fine now.

Did you have both of those prior to installing AIM? When were they last updated? You may not have updated them recently and the spyware you have may not be on the list.

Dude, the install ASKS you if you want to install some extra bullshit. If you PAYED ATTENTION, you can prevent that shit from installing.

Remove aim now. They got a new EULA where they can take anything you say in a conversation and use it as they see fit.

Uninstall it, then re-install it but this time: DON'T click on all the extra bullshit such as weather bug, etc...

I PAID attention, but I am not the most computer literate person in the world. My ex did all the computer stuff. I DID choose not to install some stuff, but I left Weatherbug. Thanks for the attitude.

I uninstalled weatherbug, updated and then ran ad-aware and spybot again, and re-booted, and it seems to be OK now. Thanks for the help!

IE sucks...get Mozilla as your browser. I also have gaim, which is an IM service that uses your AIM screen name. It gives you less problems than AIM.
