Okay here's the thing, spend $11k on SBR's or spend it on a HK Sear.

Here's my feelings. If a AWB is passed I can have a SBR but I won't be able to have the evil features unless it is preban. But than that means prices go up. Right now I could buy about 8 bobcat MP5 Sbr's for that price or half Bobcats half Vectors 53's. And buy the Sear this summer.

What do you all think?

Buy the sear, it will take all the bobcats put together to get one that works.

If it were me, I'd buy 5 stripped AR15 receivers and Form 1 them as SBRs. You'll have about $1500 bucks invested in your registered serial numbers and still have some bucks to put on your sear.

what are you gonna do with 8 bobcats?

Mix em all up in one pot, toss em in the oven and cook up one working one

I'd buy the sear if I were you.

There is no reason to expect a new AWB in the near future, but the supply of sears will remain limited, and are MUCH more likely to increase in value.

Plus, full-auto is fun, whereas SBR (to a certain extent) is just a legal curiosity

that's an idea
I could always get a ar sear and convert a few to pistol conversions.

Do you know at what % Hk sear cost are going up yearly?

If HK-94'S where still $2k I would be looking at 4 of those. I just got a thing for the mp5

ETA: I would still be buying a bobcat if I buy the sear, just only one. All the sear guns I see they add $4k onto the price for a used gun. Ill just take the sear and run a $1400 gun to the ground and replace before I spend $4k extra to do the same.

SBRs are a worthless investment.  Buy the sear.

Sear... but your dilemma on the HK clone is kind of an issue.  Bobcat is the same guy as the much-prevered Special Weapons, and Vector is good product with crappy people (just ask SteyrAUG).

You could put the sear on a JLD PTR-91 and become proficient at controlling muzzle climb!

I am not looking at it as a $ investment both quality of life investment

Sear....

However, if you don't have one an M16 might be a better start in that game.  Unless you are REALLY an H&K-nut......

Not an Hk not just like the idea of going from 9mm-223-308

ETA: I know ar's can do similar but I also like the feel of hk designs. Compact, and ZM has a newer design I hate.

In the long tradtion of ARFCOMM, I present the option that you never mentioned:

Save up a few more bucks and buy an M-16

About 10.5k for a sear in a pack. I paid 10k for a Flemming h sear about 4 months ago no pack.

Im no RKI but by what Ive read Qualified and Flemming are better than others.

You should really post this in the M16/Full-Auto forum.

More experienced NFA owner's.

Personally, if you are set on HK, I would get the sear now - the price is just going to go up on these things.

SBR's are not restriced and are made every day.

Get a registered-sear installed in a SEF pack, and go from there.
