Come on - post the pictures of your cat in his Christmas outfit.   I bet you have little antlers for him, and you're just trying to get others to admit it too.

No.  Pets aren't people, no matter how much you love them!  That's not to say I didn't buy them something nice now and again like catnip or a good bone, but buying them presents and wrapping them is just silly.

Remember the Alamo, and God Bless Texas...

The only present I ever got a pet was when they were sick.

Then I bought them 1 .22LR round.

Not for any particular reason, but I have been known to bring the cats a fake mouse or spanish olives. They get intoxicated from the olives for some reason, it's hillarious to watch.

I feel bad because they haven't had a good kill in a about three years.

Our old apt building had mice or small rats in the hallway. They did a hell of a job keeping them out of our place, but once in a while they got in, but our cat made quick work of them. Nothing better than watching a good 'mouser' in action. Nature at it's finest.

Today is my beagle's 5th Birthday. We took her to Petsmart to pick out some new toys.

We take better care of our dog than a lot of people take care of their own flesh and blood

When I had a lab/shep, I found myself spoiling him like he was a child. He was a gift from a boyfriend. You know a relationship has gone sour when you rather hang out with the pet. hinking.gif

Every time. They love boxes and the only thing they love more are boxes with wrapping paper.

Every gift giving event is a gift for them.

That being said, they also like this one brand of cat treats and this one brand of toy mice, so I try to pcik some up while people watching (and shopping) at wal-mart.

I might buy her a treat but I unwrap it for her.  She wears a DFD, doggie flotation device, when we go swimming at the lake but any other time, she wears the fur coat G-d gave her.

She doesn't get anything for Christmas because she doesn't believe.  I don't know her birthday, as if she gives a damn.  She is happy every time I drive up or take her for a walk or gets a ham bone etc.  She has a simple, protected life which is why she guards the house without complaint when I am gone.  Since she's a German Shepard, she is a natural for that.
