In the Peoples' Republik of Kali-fornia, a log of that chewing tobacco at the local Wall-Mart in Duarte, Calif(10 miles east of L.A.) cost around $40, over half of that is taxes, thanks to Rob Reiner(aka Meathead in the TV show All in the Family).

When I first started dipping it was .89 for a can of Copenhagen.  Now it's what, $5, $6?

I ordered my stuff from Indian reservations for a while before I ended up quitting.  The organic smokes were really good, and averaged about a buck a pack.  Really good deal.  I think they were called Natives.  I used to order ten cartons at a time and keep them in the fridge.

Sometimes, one of my buddies would ask if they could bum a smoke and I'd give them a whole pack.  It's only a buck, you know?  No big deal.  Now it's like $5 a pack and it's a quarter for a three-minute smoke, and I'm going to want another one in twenty minutes.  Waste of money.

Skoal mint, I can find them in the 2 pack at china-mart for about $7.

I gave up the marlboros back in november and think I might have to give this up also. Only thing I dont like is the urge to choke out stupid humans (liberals and other scum) while cravin a chew

last time I bought cigarettes it was 50 cents a pack. i went into Mobil to buy a pack for a friend of mine and they told me 3.89 or something like that. i was like HOLY SHIT that is expensive!!

the guy behind the counter said "Then quit!" I told him I never started. this is for a friend. When I got home I gave her the pack and said "If you quit, just think how much faster you could move out and find your own place"

Ooooh that one hurt.

Yes there is.  If you are trying to quit, use this "Mint Snuf" in combination with the nicorette gum(not at the same time!), and you will kick the habit in the couple of weeks.  Far easier than the cold turkey approach.

Mint Skoal with the occasional Apple Blend. almost 6 bux a can. Or cigars. Cigars will kill your wallet though.

I used to chew Cope (too expensive). Now it's Grizzly. It's less than 2 bucks a can.

Redwood, Grizzly, Red Seal

All remind me of Copenhagen, but a helluva lot cheaper and seem to stay moist longer.

I buy 6 x 5 can rolls at a time at Sam's.  About $13 per roll, I think.

Go through about a can a day.

I chew Cope Long Cut myself, about 1/2 can a day.  The local gas station by me has it in some 2-pack "promo" wrapping for $6.49.  Normal price is $4.50.  I'm gonna have to stock up.
