I go to post a reply on a topic, or reply to an IM from someone, and 80% of the time I get the following page, and about 40% of the time when I try again I get the same page - but it clears up most of the time after the third attempt:

The page cannot be displayed
There is a problem with the page you are trying to reach and it cannot be displayed.

Please try the following:

   * Click the Refresh button, or try again later.
   * Open the Web site home page, and then look for links to the information you want.
   * Check your firewall settings. The Web Shield process (ashWebSv.exe) must be allowed to access the Internet.
   * If you believe you should be able to view this directory or page, please contact the Web site administrator by using the e-mail address or phone number listed on the Web site home page.

Id start by check over proxy settings.  Dont have a surefire fix though

Maybe I'll build a fort out of my old computers and hard drives and monitors that have died - should that work?

On my home computer, yes I am running AV.

On my work computer, no.

Happens on both.
