Ranch is like the crack of the food world...

high fat content is why it seems to taste good- you can slather it on anything...but it's not what I would call a high quality food item- ranking w/ mayonaise and 1000 island dressing.

for a salad, vinagarette is better.

I'll admit, it goes well on most things.  Including french fries.

Ofcourse, I dislike ketchup so it's not like it really matters to me.  Only spreadable condiment I usually use is mustard.  I use grilled onions & extra cheese in place of condiments on burgers.
